The affairs, business and property of the company are being managed by the joint administrators.

Brian Green and David James Costley-Wood are authorised to act as insolvency practitioners by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. Richard Dixon Fleming is authorised to act as an insolvency practitioner by the Insolvency Practitioners Association.

Brian Green, David Costley-Wood and Richard Fleming were appointed Joint Administrators of JJB Sports PLC (“JJB”), Blair Nimmo, Brian Green and David Costley-Wood were appointed Joint Administrators of Blane Leisure Limited (“Blane”) and Brian Green and David Costley-Wood were appointed Joint Administrators of SSL Retail Limited (“SSL”) on 1 October 2012.

JJB and Blane traded as retailers of sports equipment and clothing via leasehold stores in the United Kingdom, a website and an online eBay shop. SSL was a non-trading entity which held several leases from which Blane traded.

Shortly after appointment, the Joint Administrators’ successfully concluded the pre-packaged sale of the entire JJB and Blane business to various subsidiaries of Sports Direct International Plc with the exception of 133 stores. The remaining stores were closed immediately on appointment.
